I have no taste in music. I want to listen to something new and not mainstream. Any Suggestions?

Check out the the White Stripes stuff from like 1999 to 2005. Not mainstream at all. Even their new stuff doesn't sound like anything else around today. Anything Modest Mouse before the song Float On isn't mainstream. Radiohead is pretty out there. Another good idea might be to check out your local music scene. See if any local bands are playing around where you live. Thats a cool way to meet people too, and listen to music thats as Anti Mainstream and New as you can possibly get. Hope that helps
