  1. I was also told that i dont ovulate but it was because of low progesterone levels. So my doctor started me on Prometrium for 3 months, bumped it up for 3 more months then we started Clomid for 3 months with a combination on Prometrium and Estrace. I did find that the drug Clomid worked as far as getting me on a regular cycle, i had HORRIBLE hot flashes and felt very light headed, so i started taking my meds at night before bed to combat that problem.  I was told it would probably work on the 2nd or 3rd month, it did not. As my 3rd month ended we were supposed to go back and get new scripts for a high dosage but we got delayed about 2 1/2 months as we took in foster children. So after that time i went back and got the scripts and waited for my latest cycle to start (even after i went off the meds my cycles remained regular FINALLY) and so we kept waiting and finally my husband convinced me to take a test and hold c**p i was pregnant! I was actually 8 weeks pregnant so we never had to use those last scripts. So my experience with Clomid and it helping me ovulate and regulate my system was a perfect senerio! So be encouraged and monitor your side effects to see if it works for you!. I would suggest though that you dont read toooooo much about it cause then you might stress yourself out wondering if that was a symptom or not, just journal for a month and after the month is over then look at all the info more closely and see if anything matches up. It is encouraging just to know it is working even if you dont get pregnant the first time around.

  2. When you are not ovulating, clomid is the best drug to start with. It does work a good portion of the time but I feel that you need to do some more research on the drug before taking it. Make sure you are monitored well with it, it can cause cysts on your ovaries after prolonged use. If you are starting with 50 mgs its nothing to worry  Clomid can sometimes make you feel pregnant so watch when reading your body for signs.

Clomid can work the first month but it often takes a month or two to get into your system so don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen the first month.

On an up side, I did conceive with a combination of clomid 150 mgs and metformin 1500 mgs. It took me 10 months on the drug to get pregnant but it did happen. My little angel is now 3 years old.

Best of luck and lots of baby dust to you!

  3. Same thing happened to me, but I got pregnant before starting Clomid. I wish you to be as lucky ;) I've heard Clomid works great. Good luck and baby dust! x*x
