I have noticed the population of yahoo answers leans to the right. I think this is because people who lean to?

right are always looking for more answers, where as the left already know all the answers or so they think. Do you agree, why do you think it is right leaning?

What? I don't think so. I'm on the left and I'm always seeking out answers to questions. That's what people on the left do. It's why so many highly educated people lean to the left. I don't know anyone on the left that really thinks or believes they have all of the answers but I can say without a doubt that I know people that are on the right side that do think they know all they need to know.

Our whole system is corrupt.

I used to think that until McCain chose Palin as his running mate. Now it seems that all the hatemongers have crawled out of their holes to voice their vicious and unfounded opinions.

I think overall most people lean to the right. Because most people are about family values, morality and a good work ethic. What separates the left and the right more than anything are hot button issues that overall have no relevance in the big picture. For example: gun control, abortion, g*y marriage etc. In all reality if you look at the hot topic issues it seems that extreme minority on both sides try to sway us in one direction or the other by acting like there isn’t any choice but the two they are offering. Let’s take a closer look at just a couple of theses issues and you will see what I mean. Gun control... Of course we don’t want guns in the hands of criminals or have anyone hurt. But the left puts out there that we should take all the guns just because of a few bad people. The right on the other hand wants access to assault weapons and loosened regulation. I feel that most Americans feel gun ownership is a good thing but assault weapons are the extreme and stripping gun away from responsible law abiding citizens is ridiculous. Now lets look to abortion The left feels it ok to kill a baby even if is a mature being, and they also support girls as young as 11 or 12 getting abortions without notifying the parents, I say this is ridiculous. The right on the other hand believes no abortion at all in any circumstance even in a rape, again ridiculous. I feel there is common ground as most Americans do. If the child is under the age of 18 the parents should be notified, just like when a child breaks there arm and goes to the hospital, I would say common sense. I would say a female should be able to abort a baby within a reasonable amount of time, let’s say by the end of her second trimester. And whether or not you agree with the moral standing here one must understand that this is in the woman’s body, it is her morality and her decision. I don’t believe woman take abortion lightly and for the ones that do again are just a very small minority. So you see extremes on both sides try to taint us against each other, when most Americans agree on most issues without the radical rhetoric.

I have to disagree with your reasoning. With the prevalence of conservative radio and bloggers and authors I think it is obvious that right-wingers are more prone to 'preaching to the choir'. If you really read the questions they are not really looking for answers. Liberals aren't as involved in this sort of discourse. This is the side of politics that is ugly and the side which Democrats tend to lose.
