i've tried physical therapy, and wearing a brace. is there anything else i can do. it's numb all the time but sometimes it feels as though i "hit" my funny bone but i didn't. it is very painful and the over the counter pain reliever does not do a thing for it .

  1. It could be a nerve that has been pinched in your neck. Also I have heard the numbness of your hand can be a sign of a stroke. You seriously need medical attention, just to rule out anything major. My mother has a pinched nerve in her neck from a car accident and her fingers and arm goes numb from time to time. Good luck I hope this helps.

  2. More that likley it is a pinched nerve in your neck, and I would not reccomend surgery.  Try Chiropractic treatment, or more physical therapy..Perhaps you might have a herniated disc in your neck. You might need an MRI, I would try anything before I do surgery.  My dad had the neck surgery, and is in more pain now then when he started
