School is starting for me soon and I am on a low budget for my makeup shopping spree. I dont know if I need a primer or something...(primers are kind of expensive though!)

Does anyone have any recommendations on eyeliner and eyeshadow that will stay(but isn't too expensive(like under $8). I was going to use Covergirl Eye Enhancers but I heard it doesn't last long, but perhaps there is somethings I could do to make it last longer???

Also do you have any inexpensive tricks I can use to help my eye makeup stay on longer because I want start wearing eye shadow too???

I have a cocoa complexion if that helps(MAC shade NW45).

Thanks!

^-^

  1. do you use any moisturizer?? if you do try and avoid the eye area as it cant absorb oils and such like the rest of the skin. Use an eye cream if you feel you need to not just a normal face moisturizer. translucent powder will help apply before and after to set it. Also i find loose powder don't stay on as well as pressed powder eye shadow.

Eye liners from urban decay last for ages although a bit expensive. So do Max Factors a little-cheaper

  2. take a little powder on finger tip and dab on eyelid i have oily eyelids too sucks =X lol

  3. This probably wont help, but i find that if i use a powder first, then my makeup stays put for longer :)

  4. use eyeshadow primer. try urban decay. it's a bit pricey but it's good.

  5. Apply concealer as a primer.

  6. This is just a tip to maybe make your makeup stay on longer; I dont know if you do this already, but before you put on eyeshadow, brush a little of your normal face powder over your eyelids. It may help with the oil.
