I have oily skin, what products can I use that don't look "cakey"?

My skin is very oily. Through out the day it gets worse and in picture my face looks very shiny. I use clean & clear oil blotting sheets and chanel powder but the sheets make my face too dry and the powder looks very cakey. What products can I use that don't look like I'm wearing too much make up or dry up my skin.

Thanks!

  1. i have oily skin too. so i bought clean and clear oil wipes. theyre come in a small blue package and theyre like little blue wax paper strips. they remove oil without taking makeup off.

    i love em :D

  2. You need to get products that remove some of the oil as you wash. You need a full skin care set that includes a cleanser, astringent toner and non-oily light makeup. You probably need a nice translucent powder.

No knowing what your budget is I will recommend something that is reasonable. Go to:

Then find a natural translucent powder to go over a light liquid oil-free foundation. Try any brand that fits your budget. Remember the difference in price does not always indicate a difference in what the product does for your skin. Try Almay, Physicians Formula, Cover girl and Maybelline.

  3. I have clean and clear stuff, the foaming facial cleanser among other things, and after a simple use it makes my skin WORSE.

Try noxema at night and in the morning.

  4. You should get a semi-matte or matte foundation.  These kinds of foundation will absorb oil throughout the day.

Putting powder onto oily skin makes for really cakey skin, as you have learned.

Also, I wouldn't wear a moisturizer on the oily areas because it will just make your face even shinier.

  5. I use a product from Avon called Magix Face Profector. Cost like $7 and works GREAT. I live in Texas where it can get super hot and humid and this stuff helps to keep your face nice and matte. Plus it has an SPF of 20 in it. HSN also sells a GREAT acne system called Continuously Clear. My son and I both use it. Only thing out there that has cleared up my face. Cost any where from $20 to $60 depending on what products you buy. HSN.com
