my boyfriends 18th birthday is coming up and hes leavin for college this august so i wanna make this a special birthday for him

i need a restaurant with a great water view that doesnt serve sea food and has to be somewhat casual

Try one of those sunset harbor cruises. They have a DJ, dancing, and a large buffet while you cruise in the Boston harbor. Link below is to one of several available.

Cafe Rosetti's in Winthrop - it's a super casual Italian restaurant (I go there for subs, but they supposedly have really great pizza), right on the beach. You can do take out and sit on the sea wall and eat, or request a window seat. It's more "family atmosphere" than "romantic date", but cute and casual.

Another idea is Antonia's at the beach in Revere - a bit nicer than Cafe Rosetti's, and also has ocean views, with cloth table cloths, and more "date"ish. You can take a walk to Kell's Kreme (or one of the other ice cream places on the board walk), and get ice cream afterwards.
