so i have exactly one week (from tomorrow) to get in shape for field hockey preseason...day 1 i most likely will have to run 3 miles in under 25 minutes or something like that...so i have to be able to run faster for longer amounts of time. i know i should've been working out before but i have been so incredibly busy this summer i have no time. can anyone tell me how i can get in better shape in the next week so that i will be able to survive the 3 mile run and complete it?

  1. 1st stop eating junk food that's just holding you back. Who needs junk food. 2ndly run all day and dont take breaks not even to go to the bathroom or drink water that'll hold you back. If you follow these steps you can run 3 miles in 25 minutes easy

    I hope this helps!

  2. work real hard

  3. I takes time to improve, and it depends on how fast you are currently running 3 miles in, you can't jump from not running to under 25 minutes, it doesn't work that way, you can probably train like crazy by running 10 miles a day or doing a lot of workouts, but I don't think you can just survive the 3 mile run by training in a week, it also depends on how long and when u were still training, if you trained about 2 weeks ago, and stopped then, after a long time of training, then there is possibility that you can survive, but I can't gurantee you anything.

  4. There's no miracle workout that's going to get you in shape that fast. I would jog at a steady pace and don't over do-it. If you start to feel fatigued I would slow down even more to maybe a fast walk. In the academy they gave us 25 minutes to do a 5 mile run and I was out of shape to. I did exactly the same thing I'm telling you to do and finished in front of the pack. Most people use to much stamina out of the gate so I recommend pacing yourself ...........Good luck
