I have outboard yamaha 200 1995 and i connected 12 volts truth both cables .Now it crancks but does not start?

It was truth the selector switch that comes for two bateries .I made the mistake joining positive and negative.Is it posible that i damage the module ?

Yeah, you blew out the starter solenoid/module.

Will need a new one.

Lesson to all you outboard boaters: don't cross that positive and negative cable. It is bad news.

probably fried the coil and the stator. may also have melted safety switches that hot travels through before starting. neutral switch etc.

afraid you probably going to have to fork out some cash on that one.
