  1. Find out if your local library will use or sell them.  You could also donate them to a local shelter or give them to a thrift store.

  2. List them on Ebay. I have seen classic sci fi novels go for a lot of money. You have over a thousand of them if each book sellf or a couple dollars or up to 20 dollars , you can make  thousands of dollars off them.

If you do not want to sell than give them away as there are many people who collect those books. You can also donate to schools, universities, libraries, and thrift stores.

I agree with you in not throwing them away as if you did that, they would bring no joy to anyone and would just be a waste rotting in the landfill. I am sure you brother would have wanted them to be read by people. I hope this helps. :)

PS I like Battlestar Galactica from the late 70s. :)

  3. Donate them to the local library, most libraries have book sales these days to raise money.

    Donate them to goodwill.

Either way get a receipt, set a price and write it off your taxes.

Otherwise Ebay, if they're paperbacks and you don't want the hassle of selling them one by one, just sell them as 1000 sci-fi paperbacks and someone will buy them for the mystery if nothing else.

  4. GARAGE SALE!

You could gain a lot of money if you sold them.

You could also store them in boxes and put them in your garage, or maybe get a book shelf just for those books.

    Hope I helped :)

  5. Many communities have used book store that buy books.  Most local libraries accept book donations that they sell at book fairs to raise funds.  You could also contact a local school or agency that runs an after school program.  Kids love sci-fi and it's always a great thing to book books in the hands of kids.

    Cheers

  6. Try Ebay.

  7. donate them to like a library book sale or something, they will be sold or donated

  8. Have you ever heard of bookcrossing.com  It's a great idea. You leave a book in a public place with a note explaining what you're doing and a tracking number, and when someone picks it up and goes online with it  you can see where your book has traveled. It's comepletely annonymous, and the website has all the materials you need to get started (you can either purchase these or download them for free). I guess it's probably like the "where's george" concept  they do with the dollar bills.

  9. You can sell them on www.abebooks.com

  10. Veterans in a VA hospital would appreciate them .

    :0)

  11. Get an Ebay account or give em to good will.

Or you could start your own book store! jk jk

You could have like a yard sale and get rid of some of your stuff that you don't need as well.

  12. Would you be willing to cover shipping them to me?

  13. yard sale, ebay, idk.

some book stores will like them, or you can donate them to a library.

  14. you can try to sell them on ebay. but if that doesn't work just take them to the goodwill or a thrift shop. i think a thrift store you will get compensated for the books. but alot of less fortunate people like to read but they cant afford it so that would make sense to give them to goodwill or something along those lines.
