  2. Well, it would be pretty tough to get a tourist visa, if you've been living out of status in the UK for the past 7 years. So, it's a very good thing you aren't applying for a tourist visa. Your current immigration status in the UK has no impact on your ability to get an immigrant visa to the US. Either you are qualified for the diversity visa or not. That's the primary question. However, you will need police clearance from the UK to qualify for any immigrant visa, so you should look into getting that before going back home, so you don't delay yourself. Get in touch with the embassy in your country or in London before leaving to find out how to do that wouId be a very good idea.

  3. It's hard to know, but one thing is absolutely sure, DO NOT LIE.  They are going to want to know where you've been living and you're going to need a police clearance from the UK since you were there for more than 6 months.  If you start lying, and covering up, then you are engaging in fraud.  Fraud will get you banned for LIFE from the United States.

Even if you get the green card by fraud, or even US citizenship, and the fraud is detected at a later time, you will be stripped of the green card/citizenship and deported.

The Visa Fraud Unit of US embassies are experts at detecting fraud.  They see it on a daily basis.  You seem to have hit the jackpot with the DV Lotto.  Don't blow it.  Be truthful.

  4. But do you actually have a criminal record in the UK? Were you deported or did you depart voluntarily? Besides, if you lived in the UK 14 years ago, you do not need the UK police clearance
