  1. Yes you would, some of the optional units are the same and would cross over meaning you wouldn't have to do them again. One of the  mandatory units for children and young persons is HSC34, in Adults it it HSC35 as the legislation is different.

    You could cross over HSC31,32,32 and if you say what optional units you did I will tell you if they are in the adult nvq

    You might be better doing the HNC is social care ,this incorporates HSC31,32,33 of the nvq units now.

    The C&YP award doesn't cover you to work with adults though,they are right on that

    what optional units did you do, It could be cheaper for the company to put you through 3 or 4 adult units.

    It is nonsense that you need to go back and do level2 when you have some of the units in a level 3 adult award already.

    You can't use any units in level 3 to cross over to level 2

    edit;

    if you already have an assessor it sounds as if you have been signed up and registered with the awarding body to do the level 2

  2. They are similar and your NVQ is a NVQ simple as that and if it is for the same role like health and social care it is no different  if it is for young or old people you have trained in social care so you have it good luck Dave
