  1. The chances are you wont be able to make a major improvement without fitting a new, bigger motor.

Im not familiar with the bike at all, so im assuming its only a small cc type scooter.

However, you can try fitting a performance air filter, like a K&N pod type. They are universal and after a bit of fiddling, can usually be made to fit. Might have to remove the original airbox, but thats no big deal. It also means less weight, which is a plus.

Also try taking the muffler off the back and either disassembling it and removing the packing and some of the restriction, or, taking it into a motorbike shop or wreckers, and seeing if they have a performance muffler that will go on in its place.

Also some bikes have a restrictor fitted to intake manifold. You will need to pull the carb off to remove this if it has one, and that can be fiddly. Phone a workshop first and see if it has one, and book it in to be removed if you think its above you.

You may also find the exhaust is restricted at the head. Some small bikes fit a washer into the header pipe, once again, it can be a fiddly job to remove it, so ask the workshop about it, and, again, have them do it if its too fiddly.

You will need to have the carb mixtures adjusted after you do either or both of these, so take it into the workshop and have a mechanic do it.

Also you may need to fit a new spark plug, either up or down a heat range to suit the new modifications.

That is the most simple things you can do, apart from using a high octane permium fuel, without pulling the motor down and fitting new parts.

  2. I started to respond with:

What is a "passion plus byke"? I'm guessing you know that you have something slightly less than a 'mainstream' bike, motorcycle or whatever it is. Anything that tops out at 90 kn/hr is either a pocket bike or a scooter. Either way, it's probably 50cc.

And then I decided to search for "Passion Plus", and came up with a 97cc Honda scooter/motorcycle.

It's supposed to have a max speed of 85kmph. If yours is topping out at 90, you're doing pretty good. If you know what you're doing you should be able to wring another maybe 10% out of it by doing some of what the previous poster suggested.

It is most likely not a good idea to try for a larger motor, but you could do a bit of research to see if you could fit top end parts (cylinder, head, valve train etc) from a Honda 125.

You will get a bit more out of it by making it 'breathe' easier, with a K&N air cleaner and a modified exhaust, and re jetting the carburetor, or just replacing it with a slightly larger one. Run a straight through header without a muffler and pick up some 100/130 avgas at your local air port.

If you're serious (and why someone with a sub 100cc Honda would be this serious I can't imagine) find a local motorcycle rebuilder and get him to help you ...Find out how much you can bore it out to and find bigger pistons to fit. Build yourself a camshaft - it's a single banger so that'd be relatively easy.

Or you could just sell it, buy yourself a 125 -- but then you'd ask how to make it go over 120kmph. Why not just get yourself a real motorcycle?
