I have phone troubles. Help?

My phone will not let me call. It has a dial tone. But, when I type in the number...Any number...I always get the busy signal. Does anyone know how to fix it?

lol idk use your friends/famly members phone, to call your company and see whats up

Swap the red and green wires around.  Some phones had a touch pad that was polarity sensitive.  It would get dial tone when the receiver was lifted but the reverse polarity prevented the touch pad from working.  This happened to me once.
