  1. Ask your doc !  That's why they get the big bucks !  And if the doc will not deal with it and/or take you seriously, find a new doc !

Which part of your hand ?  If the little and ring fingers, especially on the back side, that indicates a pinch of the ulnar nerve.

Rotate your wrist to put the back of your hand toward your forearm, and twist to put your fingers under the elbow [ie, moving the thumb away from your body]. If that stops it you have a pinched ulnar nerve. Bang your funny bone lately ?

The problem may be unrelated to your meds.

Have you had any neck problems of late ?  A nerve pinch there can cause what you have.

  2. Numbness could always be a side effect, or you could have had a mild stroke, or a blockage of some sort which is effecting the blood flow to your hand. You really should just go to the doctor to get it checked out.

  3. Go to a Massage Therapist that does Muscular Therapy / Trigger Point Therapy.  The Scalene muscles in your neck might be impinged and simply need work.

There are also many MANY muscles in the arms & hand plus a transverse carpal ligament at the wrist/hand base that can be worked on.  I work on people with these symptoms all the time.  This does not mean that YOU will be cured, but merely a direction for you to go to start and possibly be pleasantly surprised.  Every body is different, wouldn't you be happy to find such simply therapy to be the right one for you.  : )

I do not beleive this is a side-effect but then I am not familiar with the meds. nor am I a Dr.

  4. If the sensation seems to be localized to the thumb, index and middle fingers, then more likely it is a carpal tunnel syndrome. Do you do any kind of work with repetitive motions of the hand or wrist?

If the sensation is in the ring and little fingers, then it could be an ulnar nerve problem, which is usually a problem in the elbow.

Sorta doubt its a side effect of meds, although some antidepressants are used to help neuropathy. You could check with your doctors office or even just google your medicine to see what side effects it could have.

Otherwise, would check with your doctor because if this is going on constantly, you probably should have a nerve conduction test to find out which nerve and where the irritation is coming from.  Good luck.

  5. if your having any side effects you should see your doctor however it doesn't sound like side effects to me you need to see your doctor

  6. you shud probably go and see your GP it wud be more useful if we had the name of the antidepressant ur on coz i wud of  looked it up in my bnf for u
