I have planted some seeds, it says i must remove growing tips at 3-4 leaf size.What are growing tips.?

They are the leaves in the centre of the plant - and the ones that the plant uses to grow upwards with to make new growth in the plant. If it says to remove the growing tips - I would think that it means to just use the tips of your fingers to twist them gently off the plant when it has 3-4 leaves in the centre - doing this will make you plant grow extra shoots and depending on what they are make them grow bigger and bushier

they are the new shoots or shoot that appear on the end of the stem, example the top most point on a norfolk island pine this bud controls the height of the plant/tree.

its basic saying to top the place when its geting to about 3 to 5 nodes...with are the alternating branchs..this will help control the hight and make more shoots
