I have poor vision how will this affect basic training?

would i wear glasses provided by army or my contacts?

Vision must be correctable to 20/20 Uncorrected vision you cannot have more than +/- 8 diopters.  if you fail to meet those standards you cannot enlist.

No contacts allowed in basic.. they will provide lovely BCGs(Birth control glasses)

You will wear glasses provided by the Army.  You will be made fun of for a day or so, then everyone will forget about it.

They will give you glasses, it will not affect your performance, my husband's vision is awful and he was fine.

Depends how poor your vision is you might not be allowed to come in.

The military will provide birth control glasses (they are ugly).  Once you get done with basic you can go back to contact or suitable civilian glasses.  .
