It's mainly a bonus room that we have upstairs. The wall slants down and on the top part of the wall and the ceiling is that annoying popcorn finish. Could anyone give me good ideas on how to easily remove some of it. I'm trying to decorate the room by adding some pictures on the wall but of course they never can stick.

  1. Get a 6" putty knife and scrape it off.

  2. Take a regular plastic spray bottle and saturate the popcorn..it should then after about 5 minutes scrape right off with no effort at all... They always sprayed these ceilings with a cheap drywall flat paint as a finish..if any paint at all..it will literally peel off in sheets after you soak it..use a drop cloth it is messy but easy to do...
