Question:

I have problem facing balls bowled around the wicket to a RHB - that are yorker length angled on leg stump?

Could anyone please help me with this. As the balls are bowled quickly I find this particular ball difficult to keep out. The bowler also varies this up with the full ball that comes back in and the one that goes away with the angle. But the leg-stump yorker on the pads is causing some trouble. Any help or suggestions?

  1. u just stand before crease

  2. When I bowl a ball like that, the batsmen usually try to get their pads out of the way and use their bat to defend the wicket. However when I bat, I step forward, keep my eye on the ball, and just flick it down to fine leg, although, this sound easier than it really is. Just get a fast bowler in your team to continually bowl in that spot, practise makes perfect!

  3. Try and anticipate the ball and if possible charge it, or walk down the pitch to meet the ball at a fuller length. Alternately, you could step back with the ball so it is almost as if the ball is being bowled at your middle stump!

  4. whatever u try or whatever u do ,u can only master this by practicing it ,ask any fast bowler to bowl u there continuously and practice it

sachin in his early days used to play 30 days on the traught in heat ,thats why he is where he is
