I just end up either going on the computer or reading for a long time. I don't usually go to bed until I am falling asleep at the computer or while I'm reading and I HAVE to get enough sleep.

In 1-2 weeks, I will have to start getting up at or before 6 am.

---So what I'm asking for is ways to get to bed early and get up early (other that just plain go to bed.) I need a strategy or some sort of help.

Thank you SO much!!!

  1. i have that EXACT same problem. no matter how much i force myself in trying to go to sleep, i don't sleep until like 1 am.

i'm going to try the whole staying up thing tonight.

ill see if it works :]

  2. this may be extremely hard, but stay up the whole night, fight ur instincts to fall asleep then by 9-10 pm the next day you'll be tired enough to fall asleep.

  3. I know how you feel.

Try emptying your head while your laying in bed, its hard to do but it works sometimes.

Waking up really early when you have to will make you really exhausted during the day and when you get home you'll be so tired that you'll fall asleep like a baby, try to hold it until an ideal time to so about 8 to 9 hours before you have to wake up. Then let your body get into that routine.

My body clock has been pretty messed up so i just try to be asleep by at least 9.30. If i jump in bed leave the laptop away quit reading, i find myself just naturally fall asleep. I try not to think about trying to fall asleep.

Maybe a little meditation could do some good. I'm not really into all of that but yeah...

  4. yeah, that's what i did too. after a day or two of not getting enough sleep you'll crash plenty early

i was never a morning person either- my mother in law said she thought it had to do with what time you were born.. i was at 1130pm.. this is just interesting to me, though not real helpful here
