I have put on music even filled my sink with water and I still don't want to clean up ?

Hear ya!  I find if I can put my mind in zero-land and just do it, not think about it, just do it.......I won't have to think about it tomorrow or the next day.  Of course it takes me a couple of days to get to zero-land because I always have an excuse.  

One rule I try to live by (not successfully, but I try) is do it for 15 minutes.  Amazing what you can do in 15 minutes.  That's it.  Some days that's all that gets done, the 15 minute activity.

Since I have the exact same problem, I'll tell you why I do it. I don't want to face the day's activities.  I live an extraordinarily stressful life [I'm unable to  give details - but please understand we're not talking about the normal stresses of everyday life].

I was put on Cymbalta(R) which has almost turned the problem (which has been with me for over 5 years) around.  First of all Cymbalta takes away all of my joint aches - which was causing some physical problems in doing my basic grooming and the "anti" depressant has definitely given me the "enthusiasm" to get on with the day's activities.  AND I CAN'T TELL YOU how wonderful I feel when I'm scrubbed, brushed, etc - AND MAKE-UP ON - in the morning.  It somehow gives me 2 hours extra during the day.  I know it just feels that way - but - hey - any port in a storm.  I'd definitely look at depression and the activities you're facing daily. When everyday is filled with miserable tasks or frightening ones or whatever - why would you ever want to wash your face...with the bed calling your name...

I'M THRILLED TO HEAR THAT someone else has this problem.  Please write me individually, if you wish!
