Hey guys, I am really curious about a corset piercing.

How long does it take to complete?

How long does it last?

What is an average price range?

Best upkeep method?

Give me your knowledge!

  1. my brothers girlfriend had one and it looked pretty awesome, i dont know anything about getting one so i'm really not of help there but maybe you will like it. it looked like it would hurt a lil maybe not though! send me a pic if you get one.

  2. It depends on how many piercings you want to get. The whole process, including marking, will take anywhere from 30 mins to a few hours. Part of that depends on how you handle it, if you need to take breaks, etc.

Most corset piercings are considered temporary. I don't usually leave them in for longer than a day. They're great for special events, but not really a long term thing. Some have been done fairly successfully with surface bars, but I've only ever seen one long-term corset that looked healthy. There is a high rejection rate, even with surface bars, because of the movement of the back, getting caught on clothing, sitting, sleeping, etc.

Prices will vary greatly, especially if you are looking to have it done with surface bars. Don't expect it to be cheap. (temporary ones will be significantly less expensive than one meant to be long-term)

If you're trying to keep it long term, you will need someone who is willing to help you with the aftercare. Sea salt soaks 2 times per day. Nothing else (no soap). You would be best to heal surface bars with flat disks, you can get slave beads to lace it up at a later date. Long-term attempts should not be laced for at least 6 months, as the pressure can cause rejection.

All in all, I wouldn't consider it for a long term piercing. Even done 100% properly with amazing aftercare and no accidents, you're still looking at one or more of the piercings likely rejecting. Get one for a special event, photo shoot, but don't expect to be able to heal one.
