I have really awful hair?

Ok so I made a huge mistake last week. I dyed my hair black, and I have fair skin. It looked awful. I went to the salon and she fixed it as well as she could, but she didn't want to have to strip my entire head because it's so damaging.

So right now, when I have my hair down, it looks decent I guess. But when I put my hair up, the top half of my head is a light reddish brown, where as the bottom half is black! The black dye I used was semi-permanent, so it will fade right?

I don't know what to do. Just wear my hair down I guess.. and I can't mess with it anymore or my hair will fall out!!

just wear it down

or when its really hot put your hair up but tie it down if you get what i mean and do a little bun so it looks like you have highlights
