head over to www.naturallycurly.com. Learn to work with the curls. Everyone wants straight hair these days, everyone has it, everyone has lifeless, styless hair...be different...there are some great short curly styles out there.

Lots of different forums (I have no connection, other than as a member) and love the advice I've gotten there.

You can call up local salons and ask if they offer chemical straightening for your type of hair. Just ask "do you offer chemical straightening for african american hair or just say I'm white with thick hair or fine hair, whatever it is they use different products for the different types and they will be able to tell you. You could also try straightening shampoo and conditioner. If I want straighter hair I use a product called bain de terre all day straight. You apply it when your hair is wet and it REALLY works for me but I have fine hair so it's not hard to control.
