I have really dark brown eyes. how can i do my makeup to lighten them up?

like i said. i have reall dark brown eyes. how can i do my makeup to make my eyes pop more. to make them seem lighter and not so much black.

There isn't necessarly a way for you to lighten your 'eye color', but there are plenty of ways to apply make up that compliments your eyes color. Brown eyes are supposed to go with purple eye shadow. But if you aren't one for colors, I'd stick with the neutral browns, tans, even golds if you're daring. Also put some lighter eye shadow in the inside corner of your eyes, it'll make your eyes seem more alive and open.

I eyes are very dark and little I use a big gold corlored pencil from Sally 's beauty supply it's over buy the fingernail polish it sells out quickly. I use the gold from the nose to the middle of the eye then brown  from the opposite end back to the middle of the eye. beige I use the same way, I dont use dry powder I tend to use creams bendable and fast. no time in the morning.

Use white eyeliner in the inner most part of your eye (by your nose). Eyeliner does the eye good. It really makes it pop. I use eyeliner on the bottom as well as the top. In the inside of your eye, not on your lid. Mascara also works wonders, its always fun to add an extra few lashes. To make you eyes look lighter, comes with using the right color in eye shadow. The lighter the eye shadow does not always mean lighter eyes. Just play with different colors.

the rule with brown eyes is to NOT wear brown eyeliner with it, whether you want to follow that rule is totally up to you because sometimes rules are meant to be broken, i think anything sparkly might be okay just dont get things that are like ginormously bright where it blinds anyone who passes you by..try and get really settle eye makeup like shimmers or lightly glittered powder shadows

Tricks to make your eyecolor pop, are to use shades opposite of their color to give them extra contrast. Like you, I have really dark brown eyes too (im asian), and in order to lighten them up, I use eyeshadows in shades of purple. For a day time look, I like putting on a light lavender cream shadow on my lid, with a bit of eggplant shade eyeliner on my top lashline. Then for going out at night, I like to make the look more dramatic by adding on a plum/violet shadow onto my crease and outercorners of my eyes. This will really make the brown in your eyes stand out from the dark blackness.

I have dark eyes too, what I do is use a gold shimmer, it isn't heavy but it is still gorgeous and goes with anything. All you have to do to switch from day to night is add a little dark brown.

Believe it or not,but you can go with a golden & rust & it helps your eyes look not as dark. Use less mascara, & you might tone it down a notch,by using brown black instead of black. White liner on your bottom water line, helps make you eyes look bigger. Plus a white high lighter on your upper brow in the outside corner draws the attention to your lids & will make your lighter colors show up more.

also, use blues & cool colors to match up & warm colors to tone down.

I have really dark brown eyes as well. Dark colors will make your eyes appear smaller and light colors will make your eyes appear larger and brighter. So pale colours such as white for your eyeshadow or eyeliner will make your eyes appear lighter. Although you say makeup, the colour of you clothes also help. good luck xoxxo

One thing could be to wear white eyeliner. That also makes them bigger. Hear's an article that mentions brown eyes .it works for me (except I don't use the fake eyelashes.)
