Question:

I have really small calves! helpp?

Im a 6" male who has really skinny legs. (calves)

I play alot of basketball but only my thighs are decent size, my calves look so silly.

How can i get big ,or better sized calves, or more shape -- really fast??

I dont really want to spend years on it as i have a life :)

Oh and i use the gym everyfew days and on the clave machine, - but im seeing no results?

  1. Use high weight and low reps.  This will force the muscle to grow.  Libby's plan will tone but not increase the size of the muscle.  Some people though may never get much more muscle mass due to genetics. Good luck.


  2. High weight low reps is how you build size. There are 2 different kind of muscles, the ones that are for strength, and ones that are for endurance. Since you play basketball you use your calves more for endurance. If you start doing calf raises with weight you will start seeing size gains. I recommend grabbing a barbell, and do one leg calf raises with only your toes on like, a board. When you go down, you go farther than flat, then raise. do sets of 20-50. 3 sets.  

  3. unfortunately depending on the machine you are using you could actually be making them slimmer. Try to use ankle wieghts and go jogging, or do lots of leg lifts while wearing them. Do about 30-40 reps on each leg a night or morning. You should see results in a few months:)
