I got my hair from my dad, thick and wavy. it really gets in the way of a lot and i like my hair being wavy, but just not so thick and frizzy. If i use hair products it makes my hair oily and weird. And i've gone to the salon to thin it out, but it doesn't help. plus, i have dark hair which makes it even hotter. and it doesn't help living in california. any tips or advice or something will help.

  2. I have the same hair.  I got it thinned a lot and my hair person recommended "long layers".  It worked out great.  What I do to keep it from getting frizzy is i get some curling gel, but just a little bit, and scrunch it a teensy bit.  So like there's barely any gel, just a little at the ends.  Never blow dry your hair because it makes it poofy.  Never brush your hair.  I know this sounds weird, but what works best is combing it while its still wet, and then soaking it again. Then towel dry it.

    it works for me.
