When my hair dries it dries in an umbrella shape. It is EXTREMELY poofy and i hate it. I usually straighten it but it takes about 45min. and i hate spending that much time on my hair. If i got it thinned would it look weird, and if i didnt like it thin would it look weird while growing back out? Just tell me all the details about getting long hair thinned. Also if you hav ne quick tips on how to get my hair to be a pretty curl instead of an ugly frizzy one, tht would be appreciated.

  1. try rebonding...it makes hair straight...try asking salons what rebond can do to your hair and if it makes if look good then go for it!

  2. Try this first before you thinned your hair.

While your hair is wet or towel dried, apply hair mouse for curly hair. Dry it using hair diffuser. Your curls will look good.

  3. No, don't thin it.  It doesn't help in the long term, it'll just get poofy.  I would suggest hair products that will condition and help tame the curls a bit.  Something you might want to try is to consult with a hair stylist with experience working with hair like yours.  That person can suggest possible hair styles and products that can help keep it manageable.

I have really thick, wavy/curly hair, and I've found that wearing it long (no shorter than my waist) and keeping it trimmed to eliminate split ends is the best approach.  The weight of the hair helps me with keeping down the poof; if I cut it shorter, it makes me look like a poodle.

  4. I have the same type of hair as you.  Go to the hairstylist and get at least a half a inch of to remove any split ends, get your hair thinned out and then ask your stylist for any good hair products to keep the frizzyness to a minimum

  5. yeah i highly recommend it i had really thick hair too but i thinned it and now it looks just the way i wanted. it kinda looks straight instead of wavy nd u could do lots of hairstyles with it it looks so cute so go for it

p.s. u're not going to lose anything if u thin it coz its gonna grow thick again so if u dont like it the way it was thinned then dont do it again :D

    HOPE I HELPED!!!

  6. yup, thin it :)

  7. uggh i have the same problem! haha i have no clue but for frizzies you should buy some anti-frizz..you could get them at any drugstore

  8. To be honest getting it thinned barely does anything at all! Trust me -_- Anyways you can try putting anti frizz in your hair after it dries, or while its wet try putting mousee in maybe? Ask your hairdresser what he/she suggests. Thats your best bet =] hope I helped.

  9. If you want. It's your hair.

  10. have very curly hair. I have found if I put

some oil on the ends after I wash it, it is much more

manageable. I like Weleda rosemary hair oil or

coconut oil (just remember, coconut oil may need warmed

up a bit so it is fluid, if you are in a colder climate). I put about a teaspoon on the ends and then

smooth my hands over the rest of my hair.  0

  11. YES,  get it thinned out ..it will look so much better.

When you wash it  put a small amount of Gel on it. Then take a few curls and twist them around ..let them dry and you will have cute curls that will fall into place and stay. Most importantly you need it thinned out about ever 6 to 8 weeks. It should take about 15 minutes to twist and curl. If you're not sure what I mean ask the beautician to show you when he/she thins it out  and don't forget the Gel.
