Question:

I have reason to believe I am a stolen baby. With no siblings or family how do I find out who I am?

When my parents? were alive we would move about every 3-7 years between Kansas, Arizona, and Washington. The people I thought were my family-aunts, uncles, and etc. all turned away from me after my parents died. The real key I don't belong is: Mother's hair was black with black eyes, Father's hair was red with bright blue eyes. Me, I have always had pale blonde hair and grass green eyes. My doctor said it was impossible for such parent's to have a child with my color.

I have 2 names and 2 birth dates, the hospital I was born in??, was destroyed in a flood, the courthouse records room caught on fire, and the girl's school I attended was closed years ago and none of the staff could be found. I am at a loss as to where to turn now. A DNA database would be of no use as I have no one to compare to. Anybody have any ideas?

  1. Do you know what  State you lived in when you were a baby?  Did they ever tell you?  If you know that, notify the State Court House, they never close down a State building.

Give them the name on the original birth cirtificate and your date of birth on that cirtificate.  They will have the records there.

If you can get on the Internet, you can look up the Court House address and phone number.

You will probably have to write them a letter stating what information you have.  I think it cost about $5.00 and it will take about 4 weeks to receive your information.

Then do the same thing with the other birthday cirtificate you have.  I can't imagine the State would give two birth cirtificats for the same baby.

I know you will get results from this search.  But if you don't, notify the missing persons program.

Have you talked with you aunts about this?  If not ask them.  They won't tell you because then they would have to admit knowing about it  to the authorities and be accessories to the crime.

Good luck in finding the information you seek.

  2. is there any way you can look at your birth certificates?

I would contact americas most wanted

    Submitting Cases

How do I submit a case to AMW?

Cases to be profiled on AMW are carefully chosen from the hundreds of requests we receive every week. Due to the high volume of requests we often need to make tough decisions when it comes to choosing which cases to profile. We make every attempt to cover cases from all parts of the country and all type of crimes. Our ultimate goal is to give a voice to the maximum number of victims possible and help find Missing children and bring fugitives to justice.

If you would like to have a case considered for the show, please send all facts to:

    America's Most Wanted

    PO Box Crime TV

    Washington DC 20016

Please make sure to note whether there is a known fugitive charged with the crime, or whether the perpetrator is yet to be identified. If charges have been filed, please note the police agency that filed the charges. It is also helpful to let us know what photos and/or video are available of the victim and the fugitive.

NOTE: We are not able to return materials, so do not send original or irreplaceable photos, documents, etc.

  3. A good detective could help you. If you have run out of options hire one.

  4. sorry hon but that doc should go back to school

brown eyes are the most dominant color, your mom could have had the genes for brown and green, then her eyes would come out brown

now if you inherited green though, if i dont remember incorectly that is more dominant then blue, and as such you would get green eyes

eye color is dependant on resicive and dominant color, most often this is displaed with Brown big B for dominant, and blue small b for subdominant

    BB - Brown eyes

Bb - Brown eyes, carier of the blue gene

    bb - blue eyes

so yeah as someone else said, get a dna test against your parents, or other relatives, this will prove wheter you belong to the fam or not

it may just be the fam wasnt on good foot with your mom and dad, and really dont want anything to do with you because of this

not all the genes a person cary though come to display, its a combination of many factors, and such a person can cary genes that dont show in them, when these genes meet particular other genes though in a particular mix in an offspring, this can trigger hair, eye etc colors that neither of the parents displayed, but that they carried the genes for

  5. See if the family (aunts, uncles, etc) would be willing to take a DNA test.  This could establish family ties at least.

  6. Don't you have anything of your parents that might have their DNA?

    Were they cremated?

  7. wow really bad. You need to sort yourself out as seems as if the world is running away from you better you ask out right to the aunts you know as not to many people have double birth certs and I am sure some proffesisonal people can sort this

  8. Write a book or movie, cause this is what your life sounds like

  9. That's really sad. I'm so sorry if you are a stolen baby or if you aren't, that you family abandoned you after your parents died.

Did your parents leave any files or records or official papers in boxes? If so, I'd highly suggest looking through those to see if you can find anything.

If you are really committed to this, perhaps you could hire a private investigator since usually, they can find stuff normal people can't since they can get better access to records, etc.

Also, if I remember correctly, ancestry.com can send you a kit and test your DNA that can tell you your ancestry, which could be very helpful if you know where your parents are from. Since if you know that and you do the DNA test and your ancestry is different, then you are more likely a stolen baby.

You may even want to track down your birth certificate if possible and maybe force your relatives to talk to you and perhaps you'll be able to find a relative to  tell you the truth.

I really hope this helps and I really hope you're able to find out the truth.

  10. I had a similar case a couple years ago.

First, do you have an original copy of your birth certificate? Normally the original number on the birth certificate does not change, even in legal adoptions. The names of your legal parents would be there.

Do you know the hospital where you were born? There are archived newspaper coverage and depending on when you were born, many newspapers reported births. Usually the parents names, s*x of the child, hospital name, date and time of birth would be listed.

Go to the police. They have databases with thousands of unsolved missing person type cases.

Do not rule out DNA Databases!  It is quite possible that your biological family could be found through a DNA database. If anyone has been tested or given a sample for testing, there could be a link.

Regarding your coloring versus your "parents" coloring. Genes and heredity are crazy and I wouldn't only establish your belief off of that.

I wish you the best of luck!
