I have reason to believe somebody has poisoned some of my plants. how can i investigate this?

Plant new ones and install cameras to catch them in the act. You have no proof otherwise. Good luck.

you can take specimens of the dying /dead plant material and a soil sample to your agriculture office and have it tested... it'll cost ya, but you'll have proof..... in the US it's the County Co-operative Extension office in your county... in UK, there should be an office of agriculture attached to University....
