  1. If you have to ask, then you must already suspect.

There's a lot of ways of telling of whether these email job offers are real.

First of all, is it actually addressed to you personally?

Second, did you actually apply for a job with them?

Thirdly, is that contact phone number a real UK landline?  A lot of them begin +44 77******* which is usually a premium rate mobile phone number.  If they are in London, they should have a phone number with a real London area code.  If they are trying to get you to ring a mobile number, then they are fake.

Fourthly, what about their return email address?  A surprising number will direct back to free webmail accounts at gmail, yahoo or hotmail.  A genuine company will have an email address with their name in it after tha "@" character - "humanresources@bp.co.uk" not "bphumanresources@gmail.com".

Fifthly, check their postal address - that doesn't usually tally with any real UK head office address either and is usually completely made up.

99.9% of email job offers are fake and actually originate from Nigeria or West Africa.  I doubt this one is any different.  Bin it.
