  1. Beef, chicken, pork, lamb, venison etc.  There are no vegatables that are very high in protein compared to meat.

  2. veggie burgies...veggie sausage...tofu!

    go to this site:

    http://allrecipes.com/Recipes/Everyday-C...

    or

    http://www.webvalue.net/recipes/

if you go to google, there are many more or...i think peta.org is a good one too. i made the switch once, but am once again a barabaric meat eater, can't stay away!  good luck and a good tip: slowly switch to it and if u wanna swtich back, slowly switch back...take a few things away at a time!  have lots of will power.

    seriously, good luck!

  3. The idea that vegetarians don't get enough protein is ancient myth.  Most Americans, including vegetarians and vegans, get way too much protein.  Don't even worry about it.

  4. fake meat like boca burgers... or u could try brussel sprouts, spinach and celery

  5. congratulations, i just recently became a vegetarian as well. you should be proud of yourself. beans are great for protein and there are many different types of meat substitutes that are full of protein as well. my favorites are the non meat burgers and chicken patties from morningstar

  6. It's very difficult for a vegetarian to get the kind of protein that meat/fish/poultry can provide.  Beans don't quite do it.  You need to do some serious research, and not just on sites that promote vegetarianism.  There are a lot of myths going around about nutrition.  Go to some government sites, some medical sites, some dietary sites without bias, and do your due diligence to insure that you can sustain a vegetarian diet and remain healthy.

  7. Welcome to the disgusting world of tofu

  8. TOFO!

    when cooked right,

    it's AMAZING.

make it with rice and veggies.

look up some recipes on google.com

    for how to cook it!

it's the best choice for meat substitutes.

    :]

  9. lentils, beans, nuts and seeds!

    tofu (vom)

    buckwheat pasta has protein

whole wheat has some protein I think

    spinach

if you eat eggs still there is plenty of protein there

    protein is over-rated

    Also, fortified cereals

  10. Nuts and tofu (for golly's sake, learn to make the tofu taste good or you may end up hating it) are wonderful alternatives.

Here's a couple of sites that will give you somewhere to begin:

    http://www.veganlunchbox.com/loaf_studio...

    http://www.vegcooking.com/

Someone else on here taught me that in case I don't feel like using tofu in a stir fry, be sure to sprinkle some nuts, like peanuts or sunflower seeds on the stir fry for that extra energy boost.  It works!

    Good luck, veggie buddy!

  11. easy...

Eat a lot of soy products. Soy beans they are called Enemome..

  12. I am a vegan, so I can definitely help.  If you are eating dairy, I would suggest having a protein shake every day just to make sure.  They make really delicious vanilla and chocolate ones at Trader Joe's that are inexpensive and delish.  Soy is the best way to get veg protein, but if you overload, it may lead to adverse health effects, particularly for females.  I suggest a lot of beans and nuts.  Also, be sure that you get vitamins with vegetarian B-12 in them, so that you do not become deficient.  You can look on vegetarian websites and some body building sites to buy.
