  1. D.R 10 obviously means drink driving with a ten year endorsement assuming its your first DR10. Most insurance company's wont touch you for 5 years then you still pay a lot. I'm 46  and was band from driving for 4 out of five years of getting my licence i learn ed a lesson  be a good lad and work at it

  2. Has your ban expired and have you been able to get motoring insurance since?

a DR10 is one of things you are obliged to disclose to your prospective employer then it's up to them.

  3. You must disclose any claims, convictions and Dr10 is up to 10 years. With ban most companies will not insure some put loading. You said you got insurance but did you tell them.If not do it straight away or your insurance can be invalid as it is non dis closer and can be very costly. You must report all accident on which ever car it was on.so you are always covered.Insurance companies want any excuse not to pay and it can be so and then you can not do any thing.

  4. If your ban is over there is nothing in law to prevent you from driving a company vehicle.

However it will be extremely expensive to insure you so your employer may not be prepared to allow you to drive company vehicles.

Most companies ask for details of unspent criminal convictions in their application process so, assuming you declared your criminal conviction, it is suprising that they haven't already raised the issue. Best thing would be to check with your HR department that you are covered to drive company vehicles.

  5. you need to tell your employer as you may not be covered by there insurance not everywhere covers dr10 and you do have to disclose it
