I have recently bought a Canon HV30 and am having trouble connecting it via firewire to my Macbook. Advice?

The camera doesn't show up as a device on my computer even when it's turned on and in "Play" mode.

  1. I am having the same issue with my HV30 and Macbook.

    After I installed  Digital Video Solutions  Disk  my Mac wont even transfer video from my older digital camcorder any more.  I have tried pc's as well. No luck.


  2. It won't show up as a device. It won't mount.

    When in Play mode, launch iMovieHD and Import.
