I have recently dyed my hair and had a severe reaction to it! It has left two lumps!?

They are on behind my ear and on my neck. Is it serious?

Hey there, I experienced issues like this 3 times to reddish brown dyes. I would get swollen areas on the back of my neck and any place that was not thoroughly scrubbed or washed. If it gets bad or you  have swelling you might try Benedryl. I waited too long last time because the dye continuously gets into the skin and ended up with blisters in the ER. They gave me shots of steroid to bring down the inflammation and had to soak head in oatmeal baths(Aveeno) to calm the skin. Probably nothing serious, but you definitely had a reaction. Is this a new color/brand for you? PS My neck got so stiff on the second day, that I could barely bend my neck back because of the swelling.

Take an antihistamine. If you start having breathing difficulties and your lips and throat begin to swell then seek medical attention as this will requite further management in hospital
