  1. check the paper on Saturday they have a section on tenders wanted you may find something there

  2. I'm taking an example from a Bar Security Firm but I'm assuming it's the same for any security company, you need a good reputation, qualifications and experience also the main way to 'poach' business is through 'word-of-mouth'

You may have to offer your services at a discounted price.

Any previous references also would help.

Meeting face-to-face with venues and being able to show why and how you would be better would be a good starting point.

  3. It is unclear what type of security company you have or what services you are offering (alarms, guards, bodyguards, etc.). It is also unclear what level of experience and training that you have.

Perhaps if you can provide additional information, we can be of more help. You may also want to visit a forum specifically dedicated to security companies: http://forums.securityinfowatch.com/

The above forum has a Business Management section where questions such as your could be posted.

  4. Hi there'

I guess the first point it does take a while.  I remember when I first started my first business it took months to get my first contract and then still a long time after that to get the second.

What sort of promotions are you doing? Do you have good business cards? An effective logo? All that jazz? A website?

We do marketing as a company and maybe we could help you set some of these things up.

    Regards

    Chris
