My experience with car repairs after the addition of computers is limited. I friend of mine went through many of the steps you have before requesting the computer itself be checked - turned out the computer was mis-firing the fuel injectors, which caused the O2 senors to burn out, causing the computer to further adjust the fuel-air mix wrong.

By the time he thought to have the computer checked, he had spent over $2,500 on what could have been a$200 - $300 problem.

Not saying it is the computer, but it couldn&#039;t hurt to check it.

look for a vacuum leak. Try the water/spray bottle routine.
