Question:

I have requested to join a group several times, with no reply. Is it possible the group owner is gone?

The group is Roanoke_Great_Danes. There are new messages, but the owner doesn't reply to my requests to join. There is no reason he/she would be ignoring the request that I know of......can someone else become the moderator so I can find out when the group meets and at which park with their danes? Thanks!

  1. the owner may be on vacation or otherwise unavailable at the time. it could be a period they are trying to ignore pemding embers due to a member they removed of which they keep attempting to rejoin with another ID- endless possibilities-

only an owner can appoint a moderator- yahoo at this time wont at all step in. try e-mailing the owner directly- address is listed at the bottom of every group- all current moderators and owners will get it.  you may want to find another group-

  2. The owner must appoint a new moderator, so you should contact the owner. Have your tried this mail: roanoke_great_danes-subscribe@yahoogroup...

Or you can contact Yahoo Customer Care in order to find out if the owner's mail is bouncing etc...
