and, it is getting all over me and my furniture, etc. its gross!!! what the heck is causing it, and, what to do? I asked a fellow from Berkley ( no, not calif., from Boston) and he is a music major and played w/ loads of famous bands....ok,ok, sounds impressive, but maybe I should talk to a chemist because altough nothing is over heated, nothing is hot or wrong with the equipment, but the d**n, oops, darn rubber stops are melting and it is just like tar! What in the world could cause this, and short of somehow slicing off the stops to keep the keyboard from moving, what should I do?

  1. Some synthetic materials just decompose on their own over time. You can either try to replace the stops or replace the keyboard.

  2. Are you positive that it's real rubber? If it was a cheap keyboard, you might be paying for it now with your ruined furniture.
