I have samsung DVD-RW drive. When i press to open the drive, the light blinks on dvd drive but it doesnt open.

It takes at least 5-10 minutes itself to open it itself.

Is it an old drive,or someplace in a humid environment? That might cause the rubber belt to stick to the cogs.

It could be possible when a CD/DVD is in & the drive is being read..

Also try & see if the problem comes in safe mode as well.

If all else fails, instead of just pressing once, HOLD the eject button on the drive

hmm that is odd it probably depends on what kind of computer you have?

and is it internal or external? if its internal you probably need to check out the wire setup because your power wire might be loose and it could just be flickering on and off
