I have scanned and defragmented my computer but i want to look deep in my computer. how do i do that?

some people say i have a virus but when i scan my computer and use my firewall it tells me i don't have a virus. how do i know for sure if i do or not?

  1. Do not install a second anti virus. 2 antivirus will conflict with each other and cause computer problems.

  2. Defrag does not get rid of virus' you need software to detect those things. try going to downloads.com and get AVG, Ad Aware and Spyware blaster. They are all free and as long as you update them they work!

  3. I think I would rather back up the system to an earlier date. Like before this even started. And possibly change virus protector services.

  4. depends on the virus scanner or if its spy ware or mal ware. you need a good up to date anti virus and antispy ware.

    If you want to get into computers in deeper that would be dos the reg files sys files but you should get a book on OS systems first and read it. Windows XP in and out second edition is a great book to learn from.

  5. use an actual anti-virus software

    go to google and go the download packs they have both anti-virus and software. they are good [for free software]
