For reeming a silver medalist for doing an awesome job. She came in second to the best after only being in the sport for 4 years. I know I am just saying what the commentators said, but that is all I know of the sport. Is it realistic. He seemed to be disappointed in her. And she seemed to be upset. She should be estatic with the silver. That is a wonderful accomplishment for someone training for such a short time. I kind of think she didn't get it, because of her obnoxious coach. What are your thought?

  1. Even making into the final is good. At least it shows you are among the top of the world.

  2. typical yank

  3. I saw it yesterday and was just left thinking "wtf?" I couldn't believe he was being such an asshat to her on TV like that, his sarcastic comments about how "silver isn't bad for someone who's been playing for 4 years" or something to that extent was totally uncalled for! If he was my coach I would have flicked him off and told him he was fired in front of the whole world, does he really not get how great it is to get a silver medal in the olympic games, especially when facing off against an experienced record holder!? I agree with you, I can't believe more people haven't been talking about what a jerk he was, totally ruined a moment that should have been one of the proudest moments in her life. I hate when people get so competitive and have the whole "if it isn't gold it isn't worth it" mindset, I think any olympic medal, be it gold or bronze is an extraordinary accomplishment. It's people like him who ruin the games.
