Question:

I have seen perhaps 100+ flying ants, confined to one area. No wingless ants at all. could I have a nest?

There has been tree trimming, and sewer work recently started. no wingless ants seen. no idea were the flying ants are coming from but they are staying along front wall/large window. lived here for two years, first time ive seen them. how do i kill them????????????

  1. Pour white  vinegar in their most populated area.

    then in the house in a shallow dish, pour a cup of apple cider vinegar and leave it there. It will attract them and drown them. This is only a temporary measure.

    Call an exterminator.


  2. Either carpenter ants or termites swarming. Either way you need a exterminator. They both destroy wood!!!!

  3. Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.

  4. You need to call an exterminator.  Those are carpenter ants, and they can do severe damage to the wooden structures of your house.
