I was on birth control about 3 years ago or 2 years. Well I stopped taking it about a year ago and I havent had my period since. Could I still get pregnant? Also for the past 3 days my nipples have been sensitive. They never got sensitive when I was about to start my period. So is it even possible I can even get pregnant?

  1. You need to have periods to get pregnant....why have you not had a period for 1 year was it the depo injection b/c if it was then some women dont get their period back for up to a year...if it was oral bc then you should go see your gp as why you havent had period yet

  2. One, your period and period symptoms always have a good chance of being inconsistent with your "average" period.  Your body isn't very predictable no matter how much you know about it.  This being said, after not having your period for so long and after taking birth control for so long, this could be a new sign.

After giving birth to my daughter three years ago my periods started back and were pretty much the same as before I got pregnant.  I conceived again and had a miscarriage last year and ever since I get a lot of tissue in my period blood.  The tissue is the lining of my uterus, which is what your period is - the shedding of the lining of your uterus... only now, I suppose, the lining of my uterus grows thicker than before the miscarriage.  Weird, huh?

I think you seriously need to go to the doctor about not having your period.  There seems to be something wrong because you should not be going that long without a period.

This doesn't mean that you cannot conceive... tho it definitely does indicate a problem.

  3. was it the depo shot?

i came off that in dec 06 i didn't have my period till sept 07 and its now aug 08 and ive finally started  to have regular periods and every month is different symptoms now!!!! maybe its your period finally showing up???

get your gp to check it out

  4. you could be pregnant BUT I would recommend you to go to your doctor because of not having your period for a year..You do want a healthy baby right??? so before you start thinking about getting pregnant you should think about been healthy and getting normal cycles PLZ go see your doctor

  5. If you haven't had your period in a year, I would be at the doctors.
