Question:

I have sensitive skin, any face wash or cleanser ideas?

The Clearasil facial wash I used is now discontinued (or formula has changed - can't find the sensitive skin wash anywhere!) and I need something new! I'm 22 and have sensitive skin, and need something that contains NO dyes, perfumes, fragrances or the like. I tried another Clearasil face cleanser and I noticed irritation and breakouts after using it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

  1. cetaphil is as mild as it gets, dermatologists always recomend it

  2. dove sensitive skin, proactive, or netrgenia

  3. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.  It's the BEST!  There's a facial cleanser by Cetaphil as well that's good for breakouts, but I just use the original.

  4. nope

  5. well dont neutrgena that gave me huge red bumps on my face

  6. Avon's Pore Fection cleanser.

  7. I use Dove it's for sensitive skin and it has these exfoliating beads, no dyes or anything. It leaves my skin soft and smooth.

  8. Use Alba sea kelp face wash. Its organic so it doesn't have harsh chemicals yet it clears up your face really well.

I get mine at whole foods but you can get it alot of different places.

  9. just look on the boxes of facewash that your interested in to see what chemicals are in it....or look for something that says "for sensitive skin" on it. or you could look for prescription stuff for sensitive skin. hope i helped! =)

  10. Might try this site...

    It's helped me a lot.

They have a range of unique products, as well as product reviews.

    Acne.org.

  11. the wave my sisters skin is sooooooooooooooooooooooo beyond sensitive and her face is fine with it

  12. I, along with most dermatologists you'll visit, will suggest cetaphil. It comes in different forms: bar soap, liquid, lotion, etc. Cetaphil has no fragrances, and it is a very gentle cleanser. I'd suggest you buy the liquid cleanser (make sure it's the cleanser, and not the lotion). It won't irritate your face, and will also moisturize it. There are two sets of instructions on the bottle. One advises you to apply it to your face and leave it on overnight. The other says to wash your face with it, then wash it off. I wouldn't do the first set of instructions. I haven't tried it, but I would think it would dry your face out a little bit to leave a light pasty substance on your face overnight.

    Good luck!

  13. Try cetaphil.  It works for me!

  14. I use the Aveeno products.  Specifically, the Clear Complexion line.  They're not oily on my skin and the products don't clog my pores.  They have moisturizers, lotions, cleansing wipes, masks... etc.  You could check out their site.

Another way you could figure out which product is the best for you would be to go to a store like the Body Shop and talk to someone who works there.  They tend to know the products and what they're like.  Tell them how your skin reacts to certain things, tell them the products you've used, the things you liked or disliked... etc.
