I have set my amarylis plant aside last spring-sprotting now-too early? What to do? chop off new growth-help?

  1. It's fine.  Don't trim off the new growth or you will not have blooms.

    Just let it grow and hopefully you will have blooms sometime between late fall and mid winter  :)
