I have set my mind on a canon 40d slr,should i buy the package ?

which includes lenses, or should i go that little bit extra and buy the 70-200/4.0 usm L lense ,if i buy the package that will cost around £699 to £840 ,buying the camera and L lense seperately that would cost about £900 would the quality of the L lense be worth the extra

  1. i have that specific lens. and it is so worth the extra. although for starters, 70-200 is quite a long (very zoomed in) lens but image quality wise, it'll bury whatever lens comes with the package. if you can, get the kit lens that comes with the package (18-55mm/18-85mm) then get the 70-200. that way, you'll get 18-200mm focal lengths covered. consider that canon's good wide angles are expensive except for the 18-55, which is a bargain when bought as a camera package.

    my 70-200 is so good that i have to answer your question and recommend it.
