I have severe abdominal pains after having stopped taking the pill, Dianette. Why?

I am in so much pain and my period has come back twice.

these are deep sharp spasms and I don't know what to do.

Why is this happening?

  1. Any kind of pain in your abdomen can be serious. I say that you go and see a doctor right away and get checked. Just to be on the safe side.  


  2. Are you sure its from stopping the pill? If it were me, I would go see a doc. It could be anything. I have never heard of someone having pains after quitting. I hope you get feeling better soon.

  3. To be quite honest, I really dont know the answer. Im on the pill at the moment and havent had any side effects like that, did you choose to go off the pill because of side effects in the first place? I would advise you to see your GP asap, just to be on the safe side, as there is prably nothing serious wrong, but there could be.

    it could just be a reaction from your body because it is no longer receiving the hormones from the pill, and there is sometimes side effects when you withdraw from the pill, just as there can be side effects when you first go on it, but as i said, i would go visit a doctor to be on the safe side.
