Ever since I gave her the documents, she has been acting like she wants me out of here. I have only used the fmla (excuse) from work one time in the last 6 months. My question is: Can she eventually fire me for a medical condition?

  1. Go to the government website and do some research.  I don't think she can fire you.  You may also fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Unfortunately, many people think disability means wheelchair, or something like that.  They think "invisible disabilities", aren't real.  Where they get this from, I have no idea.  I've seen this behavior time and again, however.

Good luck.  I hope your boss gets a grip and stops this nonsense.

  2. You may not be covered under the Americans with Disabilities act.  However, your boss knows about your condition, it has been documented by a doctor, and therefore if you run into any problems, you can contact your state's office on disabilities and they may be able to assist you.
