I get my boy every other weekend and holidays. School starts tomorrow and his father and step mother told me that i am not allowed to got to his school. He acts up when i leave and Its not my weekend to have him. Shouldn't i be able to go to his school. I went there last year and they let me see him in the office for a few minutes but gave me a hard time. His father told them all kinds of lies about me and that i am not allowed there. I showed the school the court papers where its states I have full rights when at school, I just can't take him home. All i wanted to do was see him off on his first day. Step mom calls herself mom and excludes me. Dad is out of town all the time and never around. What can I do? Can they really tell me that i can not go to the school? The school don't believeme either.

  1. Sorry, but it sounds like you are more of a problem than a solution. Even though you have access to the school, I would assume it is for emergency matters and not just to visit. I also think you have more in mind than just the visit. Your ex got more custody of your Son than you did, and there was probably a reason for it. If you persist in bothering the school, they will take action against you.

  2. go back to court and file for modification of custody or visitation.  Dealt with the same thing.  Or call the police and do a civil stand by

  3. if the court papers state you have full rights on weekends and when he is in school during the week then you have the right to see him at school. but since it say weekends does that also mean if he is in school on weekends? maybe a visit to a self help parent group can set this straight.
